Hey there, Screw Loose Zoo! We just want to say that we freaking love you guys! Seriously, we couldn't ask for a better fanbase. You guys are the reason we get to travel the world, write music, and tell stories every day.

It’s always surreal when our fans tell us that we’ve had a positive impact on their lives. It's an honor to be able to do what we love and have it make a difference for people. And as we get bigger, we get even more chances to reach more people around the world.

That's why we're so pumped on the Rare Americans Fan Club! We created this space to connect with you guys on an even deeper level and give you exclusive access to things that you’ll never get from other bands.

The Rare Americans Fan Club, 5500 Strong!

Since the club started only 2 months ago, we are blown away that there are over 5,500 of you inside this community! It’s heartwarming to see how many of you actually find what we do interesting and are constantly wanting more.

However, only a small percentage of all our subscribers have chosen to upgrade their membership to the paid tier! Not only does this club give you all a backstage pass to our lives, but it also give us some financial support.

Rare Americans remains (and will always be) an independent band. Something which we are very proud of. However, being independent means that we have to support this band through whatever means necessary. And boy is running a band like this expensive!

A major label will spend millions of dollars supporting their artists and have large teams and powerful connections on their payroll. Rare Americans has, well…James, Duran, Jan, and Lubo (Plus our three other great team members Omi, Michele, and Eric). We may be a small team, but we all work hard enough to battle it out with these labels every day.

Here are just some of the expenses that we pay for ourselves:

Touring (We still lose money on our tours by the way)

Advertising
Additional team members (Misha, Omi, Eric)
Our personal lives

In total, these expenses add up to astronomical amounts. We are truly fortunate that we have a fan base that listens to our music and buys our merchandise, but it doesn’t change the fact that what we do is expensive.

This is the other reason we have the Rare Americans Fan Club: It helps us offset the expenses that we incur every day trying to give you all the best music and videos possible.

If you’re a die-hard Rare Americans fan, we ask that you consider switching your free subscription to the paid plan. It helps us fund more killer content that you get to enjoy, and in return, you get a very real view of what goes on behind the scenes with an independent band!

We know times are tough for a lot of people right now, and we don't want to ask too much of our fans. That's why we've kept the price as low as possible.
